Canada Summer Jobs

Every year, the Vietnamese Community Center of Mississauga receives funding to help Vietnamese university students gain experience while working with the non-profit organization. This year, the VCCM received funding for 2 positions: Program Coordinator and Community Developer.

Program Coordinator

  • To promote, plan, schedule and dialog with all staff and volunteers for all programs and ensure all activity gatherings are carried out in a safe manner with the intended content and objectives which should be beneficial to all participants including seniors and youth.

Community Developer

  • Provide technical support to staff, co-host and organize events such as the youth talent show, annual picnic, senior group activities, Race Against Racism with Peel Region Police, and maintain and update the website and domain.

Canadian Citizenship

We are here to help you get your Canadian citizenship. At our community centre, we offer many resources such as a book, guides, and websites to help your studies for the citizenship test. Furthermore, we are able to assist you in applying online and monitoring the status of your application.
Eligibility criteria for obtaining a Canadian Citizenship include:

  • Permanent Resident
  • Refugee Claimant
  • Benchmark 4 in:
    • Writing 4
    • Speaking 4
    • Speaking 4
    • Listening 4

Our Weekend Programs

Weekend Activties / Classes will start to re-open again on August 7th, 2021. The maximum amount students that each class can accept is 12.

English Tutoring

Learn and practice reading comprehension, essay and report writing and more. Classes are taught by undergraduate-level instructors.

Math Tutoring
 

Strengthen your fundamental math skills. Instruction is available for all academic topics including algebra, graphing, functions, and calculus. Classes are taught by undergraduate-level instructors.

Introduction to Daily Computing for Adults
