Upcoming Events 2011
Youth Camp
August 26th through 29th, the VCCM will run a youth camp at Camp Everton, for youth between the ages of 6-25. The purpose of the camp is to teach youth about the Vietnamese culture, as well as to empower them with leadership skills and communication skills. Furthermore, the camp will provide a safe and fun environment where youth will learn outdoor survival skills and build lasting friendships. The targeted youth are those who are from financially disadvantaged families. Click here for more details.

VCCM Fundraiser Ball 2011
Join us for a night of dancing, live music, and good company at the annual VCCM Fundraiser Ball on August 13th. This year, our venue is the community hall at the Army Navy & Airforce Veterans Club which features a fully licensed bar and 1500 sq. feet of polished dance floor for you to bust your moves. Tutorial Program for 2011

Shooting for the Stars
This year Talent Show is not something you want to miss! Every year there are performances to astound and awe, and with every year marked by a line up of talents, we are proud to say this year will not be forgotten. Filled with the arts; Singing, dancing, music and juggling. Mark down on your calendar for the 20th of August, you will not regret it. The VCCM is moving to a new location to better serve our growing community in the Port Credit area! Come the middle of Q2, our offices and LINC classes will be held at spacious new offices at 600 Lakeshore Road, just west of Cawthra Road. Public Health Seminar
Drop by for an informative seminar presented by Renee Inay, RN, from the Peel Public Health Department on May 9th, 2011 at 10:00am. Free parking is available on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Community Activities

Line Dancing
Join fellow members of your community at the Vietnamese Community Centre every Sunday for line dancing classes. Members of all ages are welcome to enjoy all the benefits offered by line dancing. Please visit the Activities page for more details.

Tai Chi
We welcome members of all ages to join us every Wednesday from 3:00PM to 4:00PM to adopt a more active lifestyle and improve your health by practicing the martial art of tai chi. Please visit the Activities page for more details.

Introduction to Daily Computing
Learn how to effectively use your home and office pc with our instructors every Monday and Wednesday from 12:30PM to 3:00PM and on Saturday from 9:30AM to 12:30PM. Our course covers an extensive array of topics such as use of Windows XP, Internet browsers, office productivity suites, and multimedia applications. PDSB International Languages Course
Preserve your culture and native tongue while making many new friends by attending International Languages courses offered by the Peel District School Board for grades K-12 every Saturday from 9:00AM to 12:00PM. All students from grades 9-12 are eligible for additional credits towards completeing their Ontario Secondary School Diploma.

Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC)
As a multicultural non-profit organization, we provide free English classes to all eligible newcomers to Canada. Additionally, we provide bus tickets to students with special conditions or students living further than 3 km from the centre. Child-minding services are also available at no cost for children between the ages of 18 months and 5 years.
